Kathryn Marshall

Kathryn Suarez Marshall is an intellectual property attorney with more than 20 years of experience advising and representing clients in the United States and worldwide. She counsels companies across industries—including e-commerce, apparel, entertainment, music, sports, merchandising, and consumer goods—on the full spectrum of trademark, copyright, and trade secret law. Her practice includes trademark clearance and registration, global brand portfolio management, copyright registration, and digital rights enforcement, including DMCA takedown notices and safe harbor compliance. She also negotiates and drafts complex IP agreements, including assignments, licenses, co-existence and co-branding partnerships, non-disclosure agreements, and settlement agreements.

On the enforcement side, Kathryn has served as lead litigation counsel in more than 30 federal and state court matters, with a focus on trademark, copyright, and unfair competition disputes. She represents clients before the Trademark Trial and Appeal Board, manages international litigation, and resolves cross-border intellectual property disputes. Known for her pragmatic and strategic approach, Kathryn delivers solutions that protect and advance her clients’ rights while supporting long-term market growth.

Prior to joining Minx Law, Kathryn practiced with leading firms including Wasserman Law Group LLP, Morrison & Foerster LLP, and Jeffer, Mangels, Butler & Marmaro LLP. She earned her Juris Doctor from Berkeley Law and her Bachelor of Arts from the University of California, Berkeley.
